César Castellvi is a sociologist affiliated to the Japan Research Center of the EHESS (CCJ-CRJ). His research focuses on the transformations of the public sphere and the news media market in contemporary Japan.
His thesis, « Le journaliste et son entreprise au Japon : étude sociologique du travail et des carrières dans un modèle professionnel en mutation » was awarded the Prix Okamatsu Yoshihisa of the French Society of Japanese Studies in 2019.
