Cyprien Tasset holds a PhD in Sociology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris). His thesis, supervised by Luc Boltanski, studied the working lives of the creative precariat. This led him to explore the borders between scholarly fiction and social reality, as well as the contradictory critical horizons of the notion of precariousness.
He is currently interested in the “collapsologist” communities organising out of a sense of imminent global catastrophe. He recently taught at the Parsons Paris, a branch of the New School for Social Research.
