Priscila Delgado de Carvalho is a post-doctoral researcher at the INCT - Institute of Democracy, Brazil, interested in activism, state-society relations, and the processes of inclusion (and exclusion) in democracies. Currently investigating the reactions of rural social movements to right-wing governments and gender features of the current democratic crisis. She tries to remain attentive to heterogeneities and instabilities in politics. Holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais on transnational action of rural movements. In 2018, was a visiting scholar at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. In 2006, received an Avina Grant for Journalistic Investigation about indigenous people living in cities.
