HOU Renyou is an anthropologist and a postdoctoral fellow at CEPED (Université de Paris / IRD) within the programs of the ANR (French National Research Agency) “Hospicovid” and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research “A multi-country comparison of COVID-19 response”. His dissertation, defended in 2018 at Inalco, focused on the transformations of the institution of marriage in contemporary rural China.
